Additional Information

The spirulina is dried naturally within a few hours in a specially designed solar-powered dryer (without coming into direct contact with sunlight, keeping all light-sensitive antioxidants intact).

The product is not irradiated. No pesticides, herbicides, or genetically modified organisms are used.

 

Spirulina should be stored in a dry and cool environment and should not be exposed to temperatures above 40°C as it contains heat-sensitive nutrients such as vitamins. For the same reason it should be consumed raw (avoid cooking or boiling).

 

General Instructions

Adults: 2 teaspoons (3g spirulina) daily

Children: 1 teaspoon (1,5g spirulina) daily

Spiroulina flakes can be consumed in salads, vegetables, cold sandwiches, cakes, or other sweets.

You should try…

Eggplants with vegan cheese and Spiroulina flakes

  • Instructions:
  • 2 eggplants
  • 2 green peppers-finely chopped
  • 100gr vegan cheese-grated
  • 2 tablespoons Spiroulina flakes
  • 1 onion-finely chopped
  • A pinch of salt and oregano
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Method:

  1. Rinse the eggplants and slice them thinly, sprinkle with salt and then roast them on both sides into a non-stick cookware adding a little olive oil.
  2. Place the eggplants’ slices in an oven pan. Place the grated cheese, the peppers, the chopped onion and the Spiroulina flakes on top of each slice and then roll them.
  3. Add the oregano and roast them in the oven for 30’.
