These two types of cells have to mature in order not to recognize and not affect the healthy cells of our body.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Animal studies show that spirulina can trigger several functions of their immune system including the phagocytes from macrophages <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spiroulina.gr\/vivliografia#1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spiroulina.gr\/vivliografia#32\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><sup>32<\/sup><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spiroulina.gr\/vivliografia#33\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><sup>33<\/sup><\/a>, the production of cytokine <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spiroulina.gr\/vivliografia#25\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><sup>25<\/sup><\/a>and chemokines <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spiroulina.gr\/vivliografia#9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><sup>9<\/sup><\/a> and other substances required for inflammation, the reactivity of NK <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spiroulina.gr\/vivliografia#33\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><sup>33<\/sup><\/a> cells as well as the production of antibodies by B lymphocytes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spiroulina.gr\/vivliografia#11\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><sup>11<\/sup><\/a> and proliferation of T lymphocytes.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, spirulina seems to repress inflammatory reactions in rheumatic arthritis, colitis, and severe allergic reactions <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spiroulina.gr\/vivliografia#38\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><sup>38<\/sup><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spiroulina.gr\/vivliografia#45\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><sup>45<\/sup><\/a>. This shows the significant and pivotal role of spirulina in our immune system as it boosts immunity and simultaneously protects it.<\/p>\n<p>As far as the impacts of spirulina on the immune system, from a few pieces of research that have been published, it seems that it can potentially have an important role in the control of the immune system <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spiroulina.gr\/vivliografia#14\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><sup>14<\/sup><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The action of Spiroulina PLATENSIS is also important against the Coronavirus (SARS COV19).
