Increase Iron levels

Iron belongs to the metals1 and it is significant for the human organism. It’s the main molecule of haemoglobin (can be found in red blood cells and transports oxygen in the tissues) and in myosin (located in the muscles and participates in energy release reactions). It contributes to strong hair, nails and skin.

Iron deficiency is the most common cause of anaemia. It affects mainly new-born, children, teenagers and fertile women whether they are expecting or not. It is considered one of the most common health disorders in the world.

The reasons for iron deficiency anaemia is basically the lack of iron from diet, the low absorption of iron in the intestine and the complete lack of iron from the body.

Symptoms of iron deficiency are weakness, difficulty in concentration, memory loss, hair loss, brittle nails, restless leg syndrome etc.

It is usually recommended to increase iron levels by food supplements or by diet.

Clinical research has shown that the intake of 5g of spirulina for a month in young adult women who suffered from anaemia resulted in significantly increased level of haemoglobin in the blood as spirulina is highly enriched in iron and has a high bioavailability.Furthermore, intake of 1g of spirulina for fifty days in toddlers who suffer from anaemia resulted in increased levels of absorption of some nutrients such as proteins or irons as well as haemoglobin levels. 24

Spiroulina PLATENSIS is a natural supplement and can increase the levels of iron as it has high bioavailability.

It even contains more iron than liver!
